The ring shape result from the specific characterics of material and possibilities of his treatment. Titan is extremly hardline same as flexible material. Rings have the forme of dubble rolled titan´s stripe, spot-weld only on edges. Welds joining-up the ring are functional and aesthetic elements at the same time.
Rings express the wish to be around. The carved segment correspond by curves with the partner´s ring and create an elegant detail.
Design of wedding rings is based on the special combination of pure gold and copper. The external layer of copper assures the stability of ring, but this layer ist instable, it change colour with time and oxidate. The pure gold is hidden under the layer of copper and guarantee the inertness vi-a-vis the skin. The gold layer joins up the ring at point of disconnection of copper layer. In this point the pure gold is flashing on the surface and create a decorative element likewise a precious stone. The purity hide under the flukiness.
The surface of rings is grooved by parallels lines and soft modelling.The axial lenght modify all over the ring. Both rings correspond in shape and proportion, but they differ in color: the woman´s ring is made from the yellowish gold, the man´s ring from the reddish gold.
The line of a palm is a unique signature. The wedding rings were made by a direct cast of the palms of the engaged couple. Instead of a decorated surface, one wears the other. The final polishing was intentionally omitted. The shine of material comes with a natural wearing out. The smoothing of a relief during years is in a contrast to the increasing amount of wrinkles, it is also a symbol of approaching to the perfection.
Ornametal surface was created by casting a fragment of textil. The woman´s ring is decorated round, the man´s ring have only a decorated segment accordant with the woman´s ring width. The delicate pattern of soft material turn into the hard metal. It is the beauty metamorphosed into the steadiness.
The couple of musicians asked me to create simple wedding rings so they need not to doing them off during playing instruments. The characteristic difference between man´s and girl´s finger size inspired me to use the mutual cutout. I took the section of each ring and I put it into another. Furthermore the difference is emphasise by using yellowish and whitish gold. The man´s ring is exserted, the woman´s ring slightly deep-etched. The embedded section is simultaneously the sober adornment and symbol of interpenetration.
“Galway ring“ is a ring which appear in the irish tradition. It represents three virtues – love, amity and fidelity. There were embossed motifs of heart, hands and king´s krown. Wedding rings use these traditional symbols, but treat them in a new, modern way. Symbols are made of melted coloured gold, embedded in the plain surface of ring.
Rings combine the principle of exact shape and play. The surface is devided into small pentagons in two rows. Exact edges contrast with fluky-shaped pentagon spots. Exactness expess the racional mind, playfulness guard against a banaustic stereoptype.
The wedding rings were inspired by previous provisory engagement rings made from a cotton wick and wires. The wedding rings were made of extra hard white gold. It enabled them to be very slight but not misshaping at the same time. Both a circle form and noble metal symbolize a compact and steady base. By contrast, little holes represent a latitude for creating an endless variety of colours by interlacing cotton wires. It is an image of gaiety of changing life. The time of interlacing is the time given to the other. A cold piece of metal is encircled by a friendly enlacement.
Wedding rings are inspired by snicks in the wood. The speciality is the man´s ring made at request in form of pendant. The woman´s rind was cut out of inner side of man´s ring, so rings lock together.
Both wedding rings are simple round with conical profile.The shape and surface evoke the hand-chased dish. The difference between man´s and woman´s ring arrise from the opposite direction of putting on.
The wedding rings were made from the monolith gold strip. The plain surface was hand-chased, churned up and after it devided into two parts. Two strips were rolled into two ring forms with the identic record of impacts. Inspiration came simultaneously from the difficult life experience of couple and poesy of Czech author Jan Skácel (1922 – 1989).
Types A and Ω pervade the mass of metal and devide the ring into two concordant halves. Symbols of birth and exit placed in the round are the metaphoric image of ceaseless process.
The married life is precious and everyday as a bread. In the Christian tradition, bread is considered as a spiritual food, transformed into the body of Christ. Wedding rings were casted from the rind of bread brought by the betrothed pair. By casting is the unsteady organic substance turned into the steady structure, making semblance of ground or rock.
Rings are free-inspired by observation of the night sky. Scratches are an allusion to falling stars. Falling stars cherish human wishes, they are precious moments, which don´t repeat.
The unusual shape came from the forming on the rolling mill. Flattened on four sides and afterwards worked on the ring mandrel, there arose a dynamic tension between the inner round and the exterior squared shape. Rings are made from silver and they are coated on the inner side. The external side is intentionally keeped wihout a protection, it oxidate in time and get dark. In this way exerts natural qualities of the silver material.
The simple and conical rings. The resemble a wrought jug. The difference between the bride's and the groom's ring resides just in a converse wearing.
Wedding rings play with the texture of surface. The linear texture confront the flat and glazy surface. The demarked segment refers to the partner´s ring and creates a temperate decorative element. The man´s ring is rather descreet, the woman´s ring is more expressive and festive.
